簡介：1964年3月17日生於弗吉尼亞州。父母離異後隨母親前往洛杉磯居住，1979年開始參加美國廣播公司的電視劇集演出，曾以電視劇集《時間事件》榮獲艾美獎。　　羅伯·勞很小就開始當模特，十幾歲就開始了表演生涯。80年代，他是“新鼠黨（又稱乳臭派）”的一員，這是一羣無畏，有影響力的年輕男女演員組織，安德魯·麥卡錫，戴咪·摩爾，查理·辛等都位列其中。1982年涉足影壇，出演銀幕處女作《小教父》。之後曾入加利福尼亞大學電影系進修。由於其長相俊美，一出道便受到各方矚目。其扮演的八十年代美國青年形象最為人所稱道。然而可能限於外型，其戲路一直未見突破，僅有《七個畢業生》、《昨夜情深》及《少女離家時》令人印象較深，近年的作品多以獨立製片為主。2000年被美國的《人物》雜誌評為全球最漂亮的50位人物之一。　　銀幕下的羅布·各在好萊塢早已花名遠播。1988年因和16歲少女上牀並拍下錄影帶而引發的性醜聞。對其演藝事業亦造成了極大的影響。1991年7月與Sheryl Berkoff結婚後，放浪個性已收斂許多，目前育有兩子。
